This course was developed using current, evidence-based best practice and will provide Wellness Providers with the information and skills they need to assist their clients in improving their mental health and wellbeing through the use of physical activity.

Trauma is a psychological and emotional response to an event that is deeply distressing or disturbing. It can be a single incident or a series of incidents that overwhelm an individual's ability to cope. Research has shown that movement based therapies can be effective in reducing symptoms of trauma (Levine, 2010; Ogden et al., 2006; Van der Kolk et al., 2014). This course was developed using current, evidence-based best practice and will provide Wellness Providers with the information and skills they need to assist their clients in healing trauma through the use of physical activity.
